WhatsApp has just launched a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.21.18.1.

 Today: WhatsApp is changing a lot of colours on their application for Android!

The changes are most visible in the chat screen, where you can see a different colour for bubbles (for both theme light and dark), the sending button, and the background colour for the status bar.

Other components have a new colour, the ring for status updates, the wallpaper looks darker, new icons for the chat share sheet, etc.

New colours are available today for beta testers.

Be sure to install the latest update to see them.

The update also brings back the developing date for groups that WhatsApp had previously removed, and “Type a message” is now “Message” for some people (other users already had this change in a past update).
